Thanks to your support we’ve shared the power of printmaking with thousands of guests since we opened ten years ago.

We need your help to continue our efforts
throughout the year.

Printmaking encourages social interaction, promotes self-expression, and empowers participants.

We work with neighborhood youth who visit our studio, building confidence and literacy while they work on their independent projects.

We provide workshops for aspiring printers and the community, and work with national artists and organizations, further establishing Central Print as a hub for artistic expression.

Help us continue to share the power of printmaking with students the printmaking community and the St. Louis region.

Fourth Fridays Print Lounge every month, in-person, masks recommended.

The Sensory Experience of Printing

Nine PBS included Central Print in their acclaimed program Living St. Louis this year. In January the crew was able to film an interview with Director, Marie Oberkirsch, a group taking the wood block class, and one of our studio printers in action. Thank you NinePBS for including us on the program! Congratulations on your Emmy nomination too!

Follow the link on the image to find out more, watch the video, and spend a little time with us in the studio.

Ladies of Letterpress Conference

We had a great time at Print Town! We look forward to seeing you again for The Ladies of Letterpress Conference in 2024.

We need more togetherness! In response to the online-ness of our lives over the last three years, Ladies of Letterpress is changing up its beloved conference model to emphasize togetherness, printing, and skill exchange.

Join us for three days in September for PRINT TOWN where we'll make communal letterpress projects Friday and Saturday with real live civic participation after we're done. Four special workshops will be held Thursday morning and afternoon for those who would like to brush-up or deep-dive.

Central Print in St. Louis, Missouri, will again be our generous host, and we'll have all their wealth of equipment available for use. In small, rotating teams, we'll design and print small editions of prints and posters; you'll gain from the expertise of others and will learn new equipment as well as new techniques. IT WILL BE FUN AND WE'LL BE TOGETHER!

This year marks the seventh! consecutive culmination of combined collaboration by @ladiesofltrprs, @centralprintstudios, and @firecrackerpress. We are excited and look forward to seeing your faces in September!

New Programs for Families

What's upcoming this summer?

New programs for children and their caregivers are in development. Keep an eye on the newsletter to get the scoop on these new workshops.

Join us in-person for classes and workshops in our studio, or at partner organizations, like New Roots Urban Farm, for an activity for all ages and abilities the first Saturday of the month throughout the summer.

Ladies of Letterpress will take place in collaboration with Central Print September 27-29, 2024. It’s an amazing opportunity to meet and work with the best printers around.

If you can't find the right resource on our website, send us a note, and let's create a program that will bring your vision to life: marie@centralprint.org
