Print for a Cause, meeting the second Saturday, every other month

Free open studio program for printing what’s on your mind

On View: Outstanding Authors Print Exchange

Artists were invited to submit prints celebrating the wise words of Martha Gellhorn, author, war correspondent, feminist trailblazer for our first Print Exchange.

April 13th, 1:00 - 4:00pm
Topic: Climate

This free workshop will take place the second Saturday, every other month.  A relevant or timely topic for each themed workshop will be announced in our newsletter and social media accounts. You can print on topic, or choose another cause that inspires you to action.

There is a long history of printing as activism. From Benjamin Franklin to Frederick Douglass to Jenny Holzer to Amos Kennedy, printing as a tool of resistance, education, and exercise of First Amendment rights has been a cornerstone of our history. Join us for a bi-monthly themed workshop to print what’s on your mind! We’ll suggest a topic of interest for each session, but participants are encouraged to print about whatever they feel needs to be said loud and proud!

This will be a space that intentionally fosters dialogue and perhaps even debate, but racism, homophobia, and other derisive rhetoric will not be tolerated.
