Writing and Printmaking for Activating Community

At the first meetup participants will develop their content and take part in a printmaking workshop to introduce the basics of printing with type.

During the second workshop participants will compose and print their original works onto newsprint with help from a team of printmakers.

The third time we meet, everyone will go into the community to post their broadsides in approved locations throughout the neighborhood. The prints will be adhered to walls, boards or windows, using wheat paste and large brushes.

An exhibition in July will feature pictures detailing the entire process, and a selection of their original prints will be exhibited.
