Lego Printing Workshop for Young Artists and Caregivers: From Insects to Aliens

Are you looking for an opportunity to get creative with a young artist? Central Print is offering a selection of workshops this spring and summer for parent/caregiver and child to learn a new printmaking skill. Participants in the Lego Printing Sampler Workshop will create fabulous creatures based on insect drawings that gradually morph into aliens. Practice design skills, learn about color separation and create an edition of related prints.

Recommended age for child participants is 5-10.

Carrie Keasler is an artist, writer and educator who specializes in the merging of text and imagery. Her artistic practice includes drawing, printmaking, and zine-making, combining reflections on personal experience with encounters with film, music and literature. She is an experienced educator and collaborator who has worked in elementary classrooms and community centers. Carrie especially enjoys facilitating bookmaking and poster design projects with individuals and groups.
