2025
November 15, 12:00 - 4:00pm
Topic: Art in Wellness
This free workshop will be hosted by a team of students in the Arts in Community Development program at SIUE. This community-centered event is designed to explore the intersection of creativity, well-being, and social awareness through the art of printmaking.
There is a long history of printing as activism. From Benjamin Franklin to Frederick Douglass to Jenny Holzer to Amos Kennedy, printing as a tool of resistance, education, and exercise of First Amendment rights has been a cornerstone of our history. Join us for a bi-monthly themed workshop to print what’s on your mind! We’ll suggest a topic of interest for each session, but participants are encouraged to print about whatever they feel needs to be said loud and proud!
