October 7, 2018, 11am-4pm: Come see the region's best printers and makers at the Print Market! Join us under the big tent behind Central Print and buy work, talk shop, trade ideas, and meet your letterpress heroes and heroines.
The Print Market is host to 28 vendors selling prints, supplies, letterpress type and equipment. This event wraps-up StL Print Week with Ladies of Letterpress, the week-long conference celebrating the intersection of design and print. Printers from across the country will be on-hand selling their work in an outdoor marketplace. Vendors will be selling printmaking supplies and equipment too. Food and drink will be available for purchase in this lively festival atmosphere.
New this year - witness a printmaking spectacle - you can even join in the fun and operate the press in creating a print of monumental proportions! Combine a squeeze clamp, ratchet strap, some drywall screws and a few 2x4s with an antique platen press, one exercise bike, some 3D printed wizardry, and a 2,000 foot tool of paper – the Ourobororos lives!
Come to Print Market and pedal-power this one ton beast yourself. You can print a part of the continuous 2,000 foot snake from tip to tail, with others cheering you on to victory. All ages welcome, no experience needed.
