Reductive Linoleum Print Class
Reductive Relief offers the opportunity to print with multiple colors all from one block! Whether you are new to linocut or a veteran, this process is an exploration of combining color layering and composition. We will be thinking on the theme of Momento Mori - "Remember you must die" - a term used through out art history as not only a warning but a reminder to make the most of life as you live it. It is especially poignant in the fall, as we have holidays celebrating not just the spooky side of life but also thankfulness.
Central Print supplies paper, ink, linoleum blocks and has a selection of carving tools to use in the studio. Students can bring a sketchbook if they have one.
