Our 5th Anniversary is coming up! Join us, June 7th.
Friday, January 25th, 6:00-10:00pm
The classes and workshops we are offering this session will keep the winter chill at bay. Warm up by printing letterpress Valentines, or learn how to screen print with a valentine themed two color print. If you want to dig into a new technique sign-up for the dry point class and see the fine detail and intensity you can achieve by printing rich inks on a nice soft paper. If you would like to meet our teachers and see demonstrations of these techniques join us for the Open House on Friday, January 25th, 6:00-10:00pm. We’ll have refreshments and a prize raffle, and a few techniques you can try out for yourself.
October 7, 2018, 11am-4pm: Come see the region's best printers and makers at the Print Market! Join us under the big tent behind Central Print and buy work, talk shop, trade ideas, and meet your letterpress heroes and heroines.
The Print Market is host to 28 vendors selling prints, supplies, letterpress type and equipment. This event wraps-up StL Print Week with Ladies of Letterpress, the week-long conference celebrating the intersection of design and print.
New this year - witness a printmaking spectacle - you can even join in the fun and operate the press in creating a print of monumental proportions!
Join us Saturday, August 25th at 12:30pm for a free printmaking activity, and talk by our neighbor, Tom Bratkowski. Hear the tale of how he rescued a font of William Page's wood type, Super Smoke No. 111, and print a keepsake poster to take home.
The character set is complete with one or more of each character, including "upper and lower case" letters, numbers, and punctuation. The font even has slanted wooden furniture for spacing when setting this back slant typeface
Join us for a Summer Stationery Workshop and print up a bundle of cards to mail out all year long. Select an image and compose a line of type, then print 20 cards on our Vandercook 215 press. Perfect for beginners or those looking to refresh their typesetting skills. Sign-up online for Saturday, June 16th, 1:00-3:30pm or Thursday July 12th, 6:30-9:00pm.
Who is the fastest typesetter? We've got a competition where you can show off your speed and accuracy. Can you spot a typo buried deep in the content of the daily news? Show-off your editorial skill at the fundraiser. Make a print and try your hand at papermaking while you've got your apron on. Don't miss this fun event!
